Tropical Florida Gardens

Thanks to everyone who took part in the 2010 Edison Garden Market – shoppers, vendors and volunteers!  We had a great weekend with perfect weather and a lot of lucky shoppers went home with unique and exciting plants and garden wares for their yard and house.  Mark you calendars for next year – the Edison Garden Market will be held the weekend before Thanksgiving, Nov 19 and 20, 2011!!!

Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make the Edison Garden Market a big success this year!  Your time and efforts were much needed and much appreciated.  We couldn’t have done it without you!

Please join us November 20 and 21, 2010 for the Edison Garden Market. Not only is it a FREE event, but vendors will be giving away products and offering deep discounts.  Here’s the list of the planned specials so far:

Calusa Palm Nursery - Free one gallon Hispaniola palm, Sabal domingensis, with purchase to first 25 customers on Saturday.  Selling potted palms and heliconias.

Louisiana Iris Nursery – by 5 get 1 free – offered Saturday and Sunday.  Selling irises native to Florida – perfect for rain gardens or irrigated areas of your yard.  Can survive as far north as New York!

Lee County Compost – first 20 buyers of a 25 lb bag of compost (just $2!) will receive a free set of gardening tools – offered Saturday and Sunday.

Angel Gardens – 20% off for first 10 buyers on Saturday only.  Selling a variety of roses including Old Garden roses and shade-tolerant roses.

Garden Market hours: 9-5 on Saturday, Nov 20, 9-4 on Sunday, Nov 21.  Helpful gardening demonstrations will be held throughout the day.

Mark your calendars for our Garden Market, November 20 and 21, 2010.  Vendors will be selling many varieties of tropical and exotic plants (fruit trees, butterfly plants, orchids, etc.), garden art and garden supplies.  This event is FREE to the public and will be held at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates.
