In 1909 an Edison flower order included many annual vegetables and flowers, and the order started with “1 pair of scissors for cutting.” The Edison’s truck garden contained Cutting Flowers and Roses for bouquets placed throughout Seminole Lodge and the Guest House. Come see what is growing in our new raised bed “Cut Flower Garden,” and find out how to be successful from seeds. Seeds will be available for purchase.
In addition, Guest Speaker Robert James, a retired professor, will discuss how to grow Moringa, the new superfood. You will learn ways to use this wonderful leaf, as well as, understand the importance of this plant for countries in difficult situations. Moringa products will be available for purchase.
Cost: Edison Ford Members $5; non-members $10. RSVP to Leeanne Criswell, Edison Ford Program Registrar at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 239-334-7419.
