Unique Heritage Trees for Sale in the Edison Ford Garden Shoppe

Posted by Edison Ford Winter Estates On August 3rd

It is a great time of year for tree planting, and the Edison Ford Garden Shoppe has a unique collection of trees ready for planting that are well suited for Southwest Florida. They are also called “heritage trees” by the horticulture staff at Edison Ford because they are representative of the historical gardens of the two families.

There is currently a good inventory of unusual trees for sale that include the following: Candle Nut, Calabash, Tamarind, Red Kapok, Bangar Nut, Pink Silk Floss and False Rubber Tree-Mascarenhasia (blooms smell like buttered popcorn).

Garden staff is available all week for consultation and special orders for trees not currently in stock. Garden patrons can easily park in the main parking areas or on Larchmont Avenue, and staff can help with carrying their purchases to their car. Call Sandra Drake, Garden Shoppe Manager at 239-334-7419.
