When touring the Edison Gardens, I found my ‘Cemetery” rose. It is white or pink, depending on the temperature (white in the Summer) and very fragrant. The label had the name ‘Gretchen’ in it and I thought I would be able to remember such an exciting find, but sadly forgot everything but the ‘Gretchen’ part. The rose was sold to me by a grower who got a cutting from a customer who got it from his grandmother’s cemetery plot.

Please let me know the rest of the name of my Gretchen cemetery rose – it is one of your lovely antique roses.

Thanks for saving the wonderful old roses.
