The forecasters predict 83 degrees and sunny skies for this weekend – perfect for getting out of the house and joining us at the Edison Garden Market.  Vendors will be holding FREE gardening demonstrations on a variety of subjects, from rose cutting to bean sprouting to air layering.  Get here early to take advantage of several “early bird” discounts both Saturday and Sunday. You may even luck out and get a FREE herb or vegetable plant courtesy of our Estates Garden Shoppe.  Details on the class and tour schedules will be revealed Friday!

Here’s the latest list of special discounts and giveaways:

Estates Garden Shoppe – On both Saturday and Sunday, the first 10 people to stop by our table (next to the info booth) at 9:30 am will get a FREE basil plant.  The first 10 people to stop by our booth at 1:30 pm will get a FREE tomato plant.

Tradewinds Signature Botanicals rare purple desert rose (Adenium obtusum) : normally $35, will be $25 and the new thornless bougainvillea Vera Series in pink and irredescent purple in 10″ pots normally $20 will be $15.00

Exotic Hibiscus One free butterfly plant with the purchase of an exotic hibiscus.  Also, the rare exotic hibiscus will be $5 off the internet price. Both deals will only last as long as the supply, so get there early!  Selling unique hibiscus plants and butterfly plants.  Live butterflies on display. 

Calusa Palm Nursery Free one gallon Hispaniola palm, Sabal domingensis, with purchase to first 25 customers on Saturday.  Selling potted palms and heliconias.

Lee County Compostfirst 20 buyers of a 25 lb bag of compost (just $2!) will receive a free set of gardening tools – offered Saturday and Sunday.

Angel Gardens20% off for first 10 buyers on Saturday only.  Selling a variety of roses including Old Garden roses and shade-tolerant roses.

Hunter’s Leaves, Flowers & FeathersA one gallon elephant ear “Pink China” free with $10 purchase to the first 20 customers on Saturday. Selling apple, peach, plum and other fruit trees, jams, jellies, unique garden art, pottery, and butterfly plants.

Rege Malone Horticulture – Saturday: Get 3 one gallon butterfly plants for $10 (normally $4-5 each) to the first 20 customers.  Sunday: 2-for1 special on bromeliads while supplies last.  Normally $10 for one gallon, $25 for three gallon size.  Selling flowering tropicals, bromeliads, edibles, butterfly and garden plants.

Louisiana Iris Nurseryby 5 get 1 free – offered Saturday and Sunday.  Selling irises native to Florida – perfect for rain gardens or irrigated areas of your yard.  Can survive as far north as New York!

Garden Market hours: 9-5 on Saturday, Nov 20, 9-4 on Sunday, Nov 21.  Event is free and with plenty of free parking.
