Do you have a specific name for this species? I have a large patch of them in full bloom right now, have never been able to firmly identify it. I obtained it many years ago, probably from Dennis Cathcart of Tropiflora, and it was sold with the name “Flame of the Andes”. Cathcart imported a lot of plants, and may well have introduced this species.

    Hi Karon,
We don’t sell it in our shop, but if someone wanted to plant it in their yard we could did up one. WE don’t have it in containers because of the barbs on the sides of the bromeliads. It is really cool.
